Alicia
Will Sass’ debut single, “Alicia (feat. Alvin Risk),” is a groundbreaking track that pushes the boundaries of electronic music.
Produced by Will Sass himself and featuring the distinctive vocals of Alvin Risk, known for his collaborations with Skrillex and Kaskade, the track is a testament to their undeniable creative chemistry.
The inspiration for “Alicia” struck Will Sass during a chance encounter with a meteor shower in Joshua Tree. In a burst of inspiration, he reached out to Alvin Risk, and the next day they were in the legendary NightBird Recording Studios in West Hollywood. The result is a captivating track that seamlessly blends experimental beats with soulful vocals.
I first met Alvin at a Coachella afterparty five years ago, and we instantly hit it off. We spent a lot of time just hanging out, driving around LA, listening to music, and going on hikes. But it wasn’t until ‘Alicia’ that we finally got to work together creatively.
I played Alvin the atmospheric opening and he came up with these beautiful lyrics about a girl leaving the Mormon church. The night before when I’d seen the meteor and called Alvin, he happened to be in the studio for the first time in five years. We were both feeling really inspired and it just felt like everything aligned perfectly for us to finally collaborate.
