On The Table Read Magazine, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, indie artist Honey Gentry’s new single, Under Taurus, explains the feeling of changing who you are to try and make other people happy.

Under Taurus

Creating baroque pop for introverts, Honey Gentry’s new single, Under Taurus, is filled with dreamy, echoing synths, layered vocals and a delicate piano line, conveying a heavenly quality.

Under Taurus started as an ode to the poem Under Taurus by Louise Glück, which Honey first heard when then writer won the Nobel Prize in Literature. She explained that it helped her to remember when she a young girl in the countryside with her father, and he would wake her up on a clear night to go outside and spot shooting stars and talk about space. But then Honey got older and lost that ability to just say things as she sees them because it makes other people happier if you say it how they see it instead. She wrote Under Taurus to explain that feeling of moulding yourself into how other people want you to be to make them happy.

Under Taurus is from Honey’s upcoming EP, where listeners will find Space as a them all through her music.
