With a multi-faceted career spanning more than four decades, legendary actor Clarke Peters (Spike Lee’s DA 5 BLOODS, “The Wire”) works seamlessly across theater, film, and television with his latest series “The Man Who Fell to Earth” which airs new episodes every Sunday on Showtime.
Based on the Walter Tevis novel of the same name and the iconic film that starred David Bowie, “The Man Who Fell to Earth” will follow a new character (Chiwetel Ejiofor) who crashes deep into the oilfields of New Mexico with a mission: he must find the brilliant scientist Justin Falls (Naomie Harris), the one woman on earth who can help save his species. Even as he struggles to adapt to our world and become more “human” her faith in humanity couldn’t be lower.
An unlikely duo, together they discover that in order to save his world, they must save ours. Peters plays the role of Josiah Falls, the father of Justin Falls (Harris) and the patriarch of the Falls family. He is a gifted scientist and engineer whose surprising relationship with Ejiofor’s alien brings about the next step in human evolution.

In 1976 Peters began to really hit the big time, lending his distinctive vocal talents to such now legendary tracks as Joan Armatrading’s Love and Affection and the disco classic, Boogie Nights. Around this time Peters made the decision that he wanted to focus his sights on the stage, where he would go to become the first black actor in the UK to take on major stage roles written for white performers.
He has twice played Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, notably in the National’s celebrated revival, and played Billy Flynn in Chicago on London’s West End, New York’s Broadway, and Las Vegas.
