I was born in Liverpool soon after the war and brought up in the ways and traditions of a Port City. In my mid-twenties I was deported to Horwich, Bolton, for the crime of marrying a ‘wooleyback’.

I now have five grown up children and 11 grandchildren at the time of writing. I have a wide variety of life experiences in leisure, work and public service, which have all contributed to the similarly wide variety of writing short stories, poems, and one and a half novels.

Having enjoyed writing since school days I joined my first writing group about five years ago. Writing Is very much a leisure activity but has evolved into several self-published books.
