On The Table Read Magazine, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, the hilarious, controversial, and timeless comedy classic Monty Python’s The Life Of Brian will be shown in UK cinemas beginning on April 7.

The Life Of Brian

The story is about Brian (Graham Chapman), a reluctant would-be messiah who rises to prominence as a result of a series of absurd and truly hilarious circumstances.

This gives the entire ensemble plenty of opportunities to shine in multiple roles as they make fun of everyone and everything, from ex-lepers, Pontius Pilate, and the art of haggling, to crazy prophets, Roman centurions, and crucifixion.

The Life Of Brian

Monty Python’s The Life Of Brian, about a normal man who is mistaken for the Messiah in Judea in 33 CE, was a smash hit when it came out in 1979 and was banned in Harrogate. Since then, it has been named No. 1 in Channel 4’s 50 Greatest Comedy Films poll, is one of the Top 250 movies on IMDb, and has a staggering 96% rating on the Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer.

Written by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Michael Palin, and Terry Jones, and starring the six members of the illustrious comedy group in a variety of roles. To finance the movie, George Harrison, a former Beatle, founded Handmade Films. Since its initial release, it has maintained its irreverent, outrageous, timely, and hilarious qualities.

Make sure to catch it in theaters this Easter (including Harrogate!) if you enjoy bad taste, close-to-the-bone rib-ticklers of the highest order, and they couldn’t make it today. before the Judean Popular People’s Front cancels it.
