David Templar

David Templar, who was 18 when he joined the Army Catering Corps in April 1986, strongly recommends a military career due to the camaraderie it provides. He enjoyed his journey from a know it all little boy, to a confident man. After serving in numerous locations including both Iraq clashes, tours in Northern Ireland and Bosnia, and traveling the world, he resigned from the Royal Logistic Corps following 22 years of service, with the rank of Senior Sergeant Major.

Acclimating to regular citizen life was quite difficult for him, however he embraced it and worked in management for a large supermarket for more than 10 years. He decided to write his book idea down during the COVID lockdown, and he was surprised by how much information he needed. However, he thoroughly enjoyed writing the manuscript and received overwhelmingly favorable feedback from his loved ones. He joined an online book club and kept on adjusting the story until he was happy with it. Ultimately, he chose to distribute it on Amazon and is pleased with his book, trusting that it puts a smiles on the faces of all that read it.
