Big BIG Secrets by Robert Arley

Robert Arley’s latest children’s book, “Big BIG Secrets,” takes readers on a wild and wacky adventure filled with humor, suspense, and valuable lessons. When a science experiment goes horribly wrong, four students find themselves in a predicament beyond their wildest imaginations.

Narrated by the resourceful Annie, the story follows the chaos that ensues when their science teacher mysteriously shrinks to the size of a Barbie doll. As Annie and her ambitious classmate, Jake, race against time to reverse the effects of Jake’s crazy microwave mash-up, they soon realize that keeping their miniaturized teacher hidden is only the beginning of their problems.

Set in a Worcestershire secondary school, “Big BIG Secrets” combines hijinks and suspense with a strong dose of imagination. Through their misadventures, Annie and Jake learn important lessons about responsibility, friendship, and the unintended consequences of their actions. With its blend of kid-friendly humor and sci-fi intrigue, this book is a delightful escape for young readers.

As someone who spent years writing scripts for children’s television, I’ve always been fascinated by how curious and imaginative kids can be.

With ‘Big BIG Secrets, I wanted to write a story that embraces that curiosity—while showing that even the wildest ideas can have consequences. It’s a funny, fast-paced adventure, but it also carries lessons about ambition, responsibility, and problem-solving. Writing this book was a chance to dive into a wacky world where science goes wrong, and students must find a way to put things right—before anyone notices!
