On The Table Read Magazine, “the best book magazine in the UK, Nick Terry shares how he fulfilled his adolescent dream of becoming a millionaire in his gritty but upbeat memoir, One For The Book Son.

One For The Book Son

Nick Terry delights with his autobiography, which charts his humble beginnings to becoming one of Britain’s youngest millionaires and retiring with millions in the bank—a good news story that demonstrates that teenage dreams can indeed come true. The series of unexplained coincidences that the author believes to be the guiding light to his stellar business achievements is what sets this rags-to-riches story apart. It is inspiring, honest, and does not gloss over the fact that success requires sacrifice.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Nick Terry wanted to be a millionaire. So that’s what he did. He started a courier business in his bedroom when he was just 17 years old, and he soon became one of the youngest and most successful self-made millionaires in Britain. But there is a cost to that. What about social activities? What about being a teenager? What about his friends and family when he’s spending all his time in the office? How would that affect someone?

The coincidences come next. He experienced events that defy all explanation. Were they, like spiritual beacons, signs pointing him in the right direction?

There has never been a memoir of rags-to-riches success like this one. It is raw, touching, joyful, and honest.

Nick Terry

Nick Terry was born in Corby on March 24, 1960, before his parents moved to Birmingham when he was a year old. When he was ten, they split up, and he moved with his mother and older brother to the Cotswolds. After four years, he moved back in with his father and has remained in the Midlands ever since.

Nick Terry

He started his own courier business when he was 17 years old, and by the time he was 42, he had sold the company, which had just under 200 employees at the time.

He decided to write a book about the strange, wonderful, and unbelievable coincidences that kept happening to him throughout his life, and how they guided both his personal and professional lives.

He currently lives in Worcestershire with his dog Bailey and his wife Diane.
