The novel invites readers to delve deep into the complexities of the human experience, challenging them to confront their own vulnerabilities and the enduring power of the human spirit.
I have a deep and personal connection with my book “Soul” because I have included my own experiences and memories into the story to create a heartfelt story that readers can relate to on a profound level. Growing up, I wasn’t much of a reader until I reached primary school. During that time, I found myself often seeking refuge in books to escape the drama and chaos that surrounded me. This newfound love for reading opened up a world of fantasy and fiction, providing me with an escape and a lifelong passion for storytelling.
At 27 years old, my life has been filled with interesting and challenging experiences, one of the most important was being my diagnosis with fibromyalgia at the age of 18. This condition, which I mention in “Soul,” has brought its own set of trials, but it has also taught me strength and the importance of support. I am incredibly fortunate to have a loving family who has stood by me through the ups and downs, providing the encouragement I needed to pursue my dreams.
I pursued my passion for writing by earning a master’s degree in creative writing. This educational journey sharpened my skills and deepened my understanding of the craft, fuelling my desire to write a book that could touch people’s hearts. The turning point came after the birth of my beautiful baby girl, who inspired me to finally get the ball rolling on my lifelong dream. Balancing motherhood with my creative aspirations, I poured my heart and soul into writing “Soul,” aiming to create a story that is both captivating and emotionally resonant.
Through “Soul,” I hope to share a story that not only entertains but also offers comfort and connection to those who read it. My personal experiences with love, loss, and resilience are mirrored in Dee’s journey, making this book a true reflection of my life’s journey and the enduring power of the human spirit.
