Shadows Of Deception

Short and very dark thriller Shadows Of Deception centres on a serial killer with a penchant for clean and vicious throat cutting. Liz Harrison’s atmospheric and suspense laden thriller sends chills through its audience. Multi-layered and juxtaposing moments of intense action with moments of introspection which invite readers to contemplate the killer’s next move, Shadows of Deception is an intriguing, complex but plausible thriller.

Confronts his most formidable challenge yet, Detective Keith Downie is dealing with a string of homicides shrouded in a veil of impenetrable mystery. With no discernible clues pointing to the culprit, Keith unearths an elusive connection between the brutal murders and long-buried secrets from his own past as he hunts down the killer. But as he delves deeper into the perplexing puzzle, he must grapple with the burning question: are these enigmatic murders somehow intertwined with the haunting truths concealed within his own history?

Follow Keith’s gripping journey through the labyrinth corridors of crime and memory in this spellbinding tale from author Liz Harrison who’s narrative also explores themes of justice, morality and the motivations and psychology of the murderer.

If the names in my thriller sound familiar, it’s because Keith is a northeast reporter for Sky Sports news and Pete is a presenter for Sky Sports News. I did tweet and ask if it was ok, Pete responded that he thought it would be a bestseller, so I took it as permission. They are both credited in the acknowledgements of the book as well.

I am 36, and love reading (to the point where the world ceases to exist) and hopefully the readers of my book will feel the same.  I’m a mother of two, two step kids and have been with my partner for twelve years. I love Gary Barlow, and Newcastle United. I’m also a big dog lover.
