On The Table Read Magazine, “the best book magazine in the UK“, in new thriller book, North Run, L. M. Jones introduces detective inspector, Sarah Allerton, with the case of a missing teen like nothing she’s dealt with before.

From an author previously known for children’s books, North Run is the first instalment L. M. Jones’ new adult series, sure to appeal to all thriller fans, particularly those with a connection to Yorkshire. North Run brings a cast of diverse characters, and a plot that gets deeper by the page. With the strong willed and determined DI Sarah Allerton leading the story, L. M. Jones gives female fans of crime thriller fiction a Protagonist they can love, when many feel the genre often lets them down.

Sarah Allerton is already under pressure from a number of high-profile investigations, so another obstacle is the last thing she needs.

The Lee Wiggins case is then placed on her desk by her rival, DI Mike Lawson. The fifteen-year-old boy and a significant amount of jewelry have vanished from Lakeside Children’s Home. Could it have been as simple as the boy grabbing the items and running away?

L. M. Jones

Originally from Newport, South Wales, L. M. Jones lives in West Yorkshire, with her husband of 38 years. She has two grown children and two very young grandchildren.

When the world was different, L. M. Jones worked in mental health. Now, she is an independent author with six children’s books published. In her children’s books, she explores worlds of fantasy and adventure, science-fiction and mystery.

She has always reading mysteries and fast-paced thrillers, so she recently entered the adult crime fiction genre. Her debut adult book, North Run, came out in December 2022. 

L. M. Jones explained that being an indie author can be mind-numbingly exhausting, but with the backing of editors, illustrators and beta readers, the feeling of excitement when she finally get to hold the finished book is one that won’t ever go away.
