New Single, Simmer By Daysormay, Narrates Succumbing To Your Impulses

What began as a teenage rebellion against the ordinary in a small Canadian town has transformed into a full-blown musical movement. Formed in 2010 by childhood friends Aidan Andrews and the Bassett twins, Carson and Nolan, daysormay has defied expectations, crafting a unique sound that has captured audiences worldwide.

Now based in Vancouver, the trio has collaborated with industry titans like Chin Injeti and T-Minus on their forthcoming album, MODERATION, set for release September 18th, 2024 via The Orchard-distributed label TAG Music.

daysormay’s single, “SIMMER,” marks the explosive beginning of their collaboration with acclaimed producer Chin Injeti. A dark, pulsating anthem, “SIMMER” delves into the intoxicating allure of unchecked desire. The track retains daysormay’s signature sound while amplifying its intensity with menacing beats and haunting melodies. It’s a sonic embodiment of the overwhelming urge to succumb to one’s impulses.

There was a point in 2021 when I had covid, and I was isolated in my room for a while. I was really struggling at the time to moderate my consumption of everything, I was giving into any and every impulse that showed up, and I didn’t care. So to me the song is speaking from that place, that state of mind of knowing you’re too far gone but not caring, and even leaning into it.
