House of Broken Mirrors, Theresa Gorella’s first single, is about all the times she gave up on herself and made bad decisions that made her the person she didn’t like. Theresa described it as a period of feeling lost and embarrassed. She desired to go back in time and feel more like herself.

The luscious ballad “House of Broken Mirrors” features Theresa Gorella’s captivating soul-drenched vocals over 60s-inspired keys and empathetic guitars.

Theresa Gorella is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter who sings with a rawness and honesty that is both relatable and powerful. Her music is a reflection of her own experiences. Gorella was raised on a raisin farm in Fowler, California, and from a young age was surrounded by country music.

Subsequent to going to Long Island College Brooklyn, she moved to Nashville to seek after down home music. She was exposed to a variety of musical genres five nights a week when she got a job waiting tables at the legendary 3rd & Lindsley. While topping off waters and clearing ketchup off her shirt she saw exhibitions by Vince Gill, Day break Singes, Beth Hart, Jonell Mosser, Chris Stapleton and Andra Day among numerous other music legends.

Poster Child

She formed the indie rock/funk band Poster Child with collaborator Andrew Royal after seeing these artists. Her perspective on music was altered as a result. She quickly established herself in the Nashville funk scene with Poster Child, but she felt compelled to reconnect with her country roots. Her solo project is her way of accomplishing this, and its sound, which she describes as “accidentally country,” combines elements of soul and Americana with traditional Country.

The lead single from her solo project, “House of Broken Mirrors,” is a must-listen for fans of honest and sincere music.
