Seeri by Chiamaka Okike

Seeri, Chiamaka Okike’s latest work of contemporary fiction, is a poignant and witty exploration of grief, love, and the unexpected twists of life.

On the anniversary of her sister’s death, Kewa embarks on a whirlwind journey through London, fueled by nostalgia and a desperate attempt to reclaim her past. Armed with her best friend Tajudeen and a healthy dose of impulsiveness, she navigates awkward encounters, drunken mishaps, and surprising romantic connections.

But as Kewa grapples with the echoes of loss and the messy realities of intimacy, she discovers that healing and new beginnings can emerge from the most unexpected places. With lyrical prose and a sharp wit, Okike masterfully blends humor and heartache, inviting readers to celebrate the absurdities of life and embrace the possibilities of love in all its messy glory.

Perfect for fans of Sally Rooney and Helen Hoang, Seeri is a captivating and emotionally resonant novel that will stay with you long after the final page.
