The few people who survived the brutal Amazon River Fever pandemic in Prague are forced to flee to the uninfected village of Otočka. Doctor Eliška Korbova, having frantically attempted to save as many people as she could, is confident that the town will be their salvation.

However, Otočka is no heaven. A new fearful ideology is gaining traction, and the colonel in charge, the doctor’s half-sister, is rapidly becoming a tyrant. Eliška must find a way to stop the colonel and save the village before it’s too late as everyone around her descends into madness and barbarism.

Regardless of its grim subject matter, Delirium is a story of hope against the odds. Alexander Fisher knows how to keep his audience hooked, prompting readers to consider one of life’s great questions: why, when given the gift of power, are we as likely to use it for good as for evil?

Alexander Fisher worked as a film and television editor in the UK and India, but it wasn’t until he started teaching English that he felt the urge to write. He has since written three books, a novella and a series of short stories. He is now writing his fourth book.

His most recent release, Delirium, is a fast paced, dystopian work wherein a pandemic unleashes a civilisational disaster. Set in Prague, a doctor urges survivors to travel to a safe village, under the control of her half sister. In all the despair and madness that welcomes them, is hope enough to return light to the lives of the survivors.
