Nest Of Flowers

Midnight dreampop meets shoegaze band Silent Mass released their new single Nest of Flowers. Nest Of Flowers is the second single off of their new album, The Great Chaos, which was released on the Summer Solstice.

Nest of Flowers is an ode to walking a directionless path into the unknown. It’s a reminder to trust that a way out always reveals itself in time.

Silent Mass

Silent Mass

Silent Mass conjures an atmosphere of ethereal beauty, like sipping red wine amidst a misty mountain valley with Enya playing softly in the background. Their sound, reminiscent of The Cranberries’ dream pop melodies, Chelsea Wolfe’s haunting vocals, Beach House’s swirling soundscapes, and Cranes’ shoegaze textures, is a captivating blend. This Brooklyn-based band has already garnered a devoted following, receiving the title “ethereal Brooklyn goths” from Brooklyn Vegan.

They’ve shared the stage with renowned occult rockers True Widow and graced the prestigious New Colossus Festival lineup. With Apple Music editorial support under their belt, Silent Mass is a rising star to keep an eye on.

Encompassing haunting vocals and lush guitar lines with primal percussive rhythms that nod to Ammo’s punk-infused youth, Silent Mass released two more singles, ‘Rose + Crown’ and ‘A Cold War City’ in 2021. “Ammo recalls so many different artists (Kate Bush, Jane Siberry, Cocteau Twins, Slowdive), while not sounding particularly like any of them very much. This is melancholic loaded reverie, capable of entrancing you into Lynchian territory” noted The Spill Magazine.

Ammo eventually relocated with audio engineer and guitarist Robert Duncan to join drummer and producer Alex Posell in NYC. With demand for live performances, bassist Kevin LoBiondo completed the band’s final incarnation.
