On The Table Read, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, otherworldly artist and master guitarist Moonlight Jones has released a new single, and video, “Whatcha Doin’ To Me”.
New single, Whatcha Doin’ To Me from Moonlight Jones blends sensual, Latin-inspired undercurrents with vibrant electric guitar solos and captivating vocals.
The music video for Whatcha Doin’ To Me was directed by the iconic David Rousseau (Pitbull, Jay Sean, Afrojack) and his team at Doozy Films. The video takes place in France during 1954 and starts out in black and white, before switching to full colour at the climax. An air of classical romance follows Moonlight Jones as he serenades a sultry stranger on a chance encounter train ride, before popping a bottle of champagne and playing his silky-smooth electric guitar riff over a black-sequin dressed dancer.
Whatcha Doin’ To Me is a seductive celebration highlighting Moonlight Jones’ vocal prowess and warm ambiance.
Moonlight Jones crates an electic style of music deemed Cossmic Soul with his Grammy award-winning team, with an enthralling and fluid blend of Latin music, R&B, Blues and Rock. The new single, Whatcha Doin’ To Me, was co-written with producer Nino Valentino and collaborator Doug Emer, and perfectly encompasses this modern fusion style. The vibrant and seductive sound showcases Moonlight Jones’ sensual and refined vocals, with electric guitar solos, and a base track that is intrinsically captivating.

A self-taught guitarist, Moonlight Jones found that music could open up whole worlds of creativity and inspiration, taking him around the globe and from coast to coast in the United States. Born to an Egyptian father and an American mother of Czech heritage, MoonLight Jones’ introduction into the world of music was wide ranging, as he learned as much as he could from every musician he knew in his hometown of Tampa, Florida. These influences have inspired his musical career ever since, with Latin, Middle Eastern and World music was always playing in MoonLight Jones’ household, as well as Blues, Bluegrass, Asian, and Folk music.
A love of flamenco guitar inspired Moonlight Jones to move to Spain and learn as much as he could about the style while living and studying in Barcelona and Granada. He explored the world of rich musical cultures with trips to Puerto Rico, Cuba and Colombia to further expand his knowledge and passion.
Moonlight Jones began his career in L.A, working for the famed graphic designer Kyle Cooper, before deciding to pursue sound engineering to round out his growing musical experience.
His work with local bands gave him the opportunity to tour with the Twilight actor Jackson Rathbone’s band, 100 Monkeys, performing shows at The Whiskey-A-Go Go, The Mint, The House of Blues on Sunset and The Viper Room, to name a few.
Moonlight Jones’ passion for film music eventually landed him a job with Heitor Pereira, famed film composer, who had a studio at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Studios in Santa Monica. Moonlight Jones also lived in Nashville, where he plied his trade in Southern Rock band, Suthurn Swaggur, with the talented lead vocalist and lyricist, Joseph Dawson.
After a move to Miami, Moonlight Jones began working with local Haitian artists, Claude Cajuste of Gemini All-Stars fame, and rapper/singer Purple Gorilla to form Echo N Dream. Together they have performed shows all over Miami.
After teaming up with international recording artist and producer Nino Valentinon in 2021, Moonlight Jones created a unique genre of music called Cosmic Soul, blending Flamenco music, R&B and Rock.
“Through our music we want to connect with our fans on a universal level, that’s what Cosmic Soul is all about.,” explained Moonlight Jones. “Connecting with each other using our music as the vehicle”.
