On The Table Read Magazine, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, multilingual singer-songwriter Miu Haiti has released her new album, Unphased, featuring fun pop and hard hitting hip-hop.
Following the success of her record, Is This Love, the multilingual singer-songwriter and producer Miu Haiti has released sophomore album, Unphased. The eight-track album is chock full of sounds that borrow from Hip-Hop/Rap, Pop, R&B/Soul, and everything in-between.
Unphased is Miu Haiti’s first album since her 2014 debut album, Unexpected, and offers a real treat for her day one, hardcore fans or “Real Ones,” and for the soon-to-be fans. With something for everybody, Unphased features a range of styles from heartfelt, soulful ballads, to thought-provoking and fun Pop anthems, to hard-hitting Hip-Hop/Rap tracks.
This musical journey mirrors Miu Haiti’s literal journey, providing listeners with an intimate look into her life and evolution. Unphased has bops that will resonate with all and is an album that listeners cannot listen to only once. It is the gift that keeps on giving.
Beginning with the sensual, sultry record, Chocolate Candy, produced by ESNC, it paints a picture of when someone locks eyes with another at the club, in lust or love, and then they dance the night away together.
Track two turns to Is This Love, produced by Nice Beat (Irwin Charles), which challenges the idea of love or if the feelings that come after the blissful honeymoon phase are real in a relationship.
Continuing the love and relationship theme, If I Call is self-produced and is a guitar-led, soulful Indie Pop song which continues the story laid out in the previous two tracks, and details the breakup and heartbreak felt.
Track four, Flip It, is a wavy, spacey record that provides listeners with motivation and inspiration for which Miu Haiti enlisted multi-platinum producer Self Service. The song strikes a shift in the album as it turns to empowerment, and finding your light and power.
This leads to Real Ones, which is self-explanatory from its title and another self-produced record. Real Ones is about keeping your circle tight and only keeping “Real Ones” around.
Miu Haiti slays in track six, In ‘Em Face, with a lot of bravado and pizzazz. It was produced by renowned producer Roland Richards.
The penultimate song and self-produced track, Filon, which Miu Haiti performs in her native language, further demonstrating her immense talent and unique skill set.
The final track, Too Late, was produced by Bayden, and is the perfect closer, tying the album all together through its eclectic sound.
Unphased” was recorded at Purfek Recordings Studios, mixed by Hilton Auguste and Zahc Hughes, mastered at Sage Audio Studio, and entirely written by Miu Haiti.
Genre-bending singer-songwriter and producer Miu Haiti, was born and raised in Haiti, and now based in the United States, draws her eclectic musical influences from Pop and R&B with a Hip-Hop edge.
Music has always been in her blood, being the daughter of a saxophonist. A true renaissance woman, her versatile artistic expression is influenced by her love of fashion, makeup artistry, performing arts, and interior design. Her ability to compose music and sing in various languages (English, Creole, French, and Spanish) allows her to connect with a global audience, and has driven collaborations with arrangers, talents, and artists from Saint Lucia, Puerto Rico, Tanzania, United States, Canada, France, and Haiti.
Miu Haiti has remained very prolific since the release of her debut album, Unexpected in 2014, and has been featured in countless media outlets. She has garnered a sizable fanbase with about half a million followers across social media platforms, and has accumulated millions streams and views.
Under the wings of Purfek Storm Group Management, 2022 saw the releases of her highly replayed song and music video, “In ‘Em Face,” and first-ever self-produced single, “Real Ones.” Miu Haiti kicked off 2023 with the lead single, “Is This Love.”
