On The Table Read Magazine, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, M. Byrd releases new single, The Seed, from the upcoming album of the same name, coming June 2023.
The Seed
German-based artist M. Byrd’s new single, The Seed, sparkles with shoegaze scope, alternative boldness, and pop palatability. The single comes with the announcement of his forthcoming album, The Seed, which will be released on June 16 via Nettwerk.
The upcoming album was made in a studio that used to be a military squash court. It came about when the war in Ukraine started and he felt like he couldn’t do anything.
M. Byrd came to the realization that no matter how far away you may feel from something that is taking place in the world, nothing will ever be free of suffering elsewhere. He had to come to terms with it, even though it was a painful realization. He felt like he was holding a seed in his hands as he listened to the entire album. It was like the beginning of something and represented birth in chaos. He came to the conclusion that the title of both the song and the album had to be The Seed.
M. Byrd
M. Byrd, a German multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer, finds universality in deeply personal songwriting. He worked on The Seed with producer Eugen Koop in a British Corps squash hall renamed a studio at the end of 2020 in Detmold, Germany. M. Byrd plays bass, synthesizers, and guitar on the record, leaving his mark on every level of the music. He continues to refine his vision for his debut album, The Seed [Nettwerk], which will be released in 2023.
