John McKie is a 58-year-old social science graduate with the Open University (BSc Hons).
He worked for the DM Thomas Foundation from 2013-2021 as a grants administrator. He currently works as a library assistant. His previous jobs involve working for a number of organisations in the not-for-profit sector including Macmillan Cancer Support and the NHS.
His interests include history, sociology, photography and the environment. He is also a listener to the BBC World Service and takes an interest in world events. In addition, he listens to a lot of classical music.
