On The Table Read Magazine, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, Kian Blume releases new single, Daphne, about a former love.
Kian Blume
Kian Blume, a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and pianist from Los Angeles who is on the Billboard Hot 100, is best known for his indescribably intoxicating poetry-inspired songs that shine brightly with dramatic melodies, adventurous harmonies, and playful piano.
Blume wants to bring back a level of complexity and artistry to his music that has been declining for several decades with a profound theatrical sound that inspires passion and raw energy in his listeners. Unquestionably, Kian Blume’s own sophisticated, multifaceted sound was influenced by a diverse group of artists, including Primus, Michael Bublé, Bobby Darin, and composers Chopin and Satie.
Kian Blume is a genuine creator and artist whose goal is to motivate his audience to live their authentic selves unapologetically. Kian Blume is a fascinating multifaceted artist to keep an eye on in 2023, as evidenced by his forthcoming music, which includes a song dedicated to toxic lust titled “Parasite.”
Communicating Through Music
When Kian Blume decided to turn his poetry into songs, he started making music when he was just 15 years old. Blume developed an unparalleled passion for songwriting as a means of authentically expressing his identity and emotions after learning to play the piano and guitar.
He has always had the impression that many of the people he has met are dedicated to misinterpreting him, so he has always tried to hide most of his personality and limit his expression, while his peers are doing the exact opposite. They are all discovering who they are. Kian’s world had become expressionless and gray. The only medium through which he can truly convey his emotions is the music he creates.
Stop The Show
The debut single “Stop the Show” by Blume reached the top spot on the Billboard Dance Chart in 2019 and established him as a songwriter to keep an eye on. In the midst of the pandemic, Kian Blume felt compelled to make a pop sound that was more cinematic and baroque. The songwriter is now creating his most authentic work to date as he moves into a new musical phase.
Daphne
His newest single, “Daphne,” is a fun pop song driven by piano that is both dramatic and nostalgic. The melody that came to Blume while he was on a mandatory vocal rest following a vocal cord injury was too all-consuming for him to ignore, so the track was written while Blume was on that rest. Blume’s self-described “magnum opus,” an emotional and thrilling sonic rollercoaster, is the outcome, and it is his proudest achievement to date.
He almost lost his music career, however, as his vocal cords soon after began to hemorrhage, necessitating surgery. His well-known otorhinolaryngologist, Michael Orland, who is best known for his work with American Idol, introduced him to his ultimate writing and production partner. To finish the song, Orland brought in producer Miklos Malek (Jennifer Lopez, Anastacia) to work on it. The result is a love song that is big and high.
With “Daphne,” Kian Blume creates a touching and autobiographical song about a former love from his youth. The songwriter will never forget the special and pleasant memories, even though the relationship ended in failure.
