“I Won’t Go” is an upbeat song about the difficulties of life and the significance of perseverance.

JoDavi explained that “I Won’t Go” was his way of planting his feet in the earth, showing that he won’t be easily moved, regardless of the consequences. He wrote it on a plane ride to a studio in Oakland during a time in his life that was undeniably challenging, as his convictions were being tested and his friends were revealing themselves to be transactional not genuine. “I Won’t Go” was a reassurance not only for himself, but also for anyone who was feeling pressured to give in to mass formation psychosis.
