 The arrival of my grandchild inspired me to create a legacy of thought and curiosity – something that could be passed down and honour the continual impact of our scientific explorations. The novel is an examination of how human development could be perceived by an intelligence far greater than our own. Additionally, it introduces readers to Jimbo – a character who many have reached out to tell me they believe is a classic hero – so seemingly ordinary, but so extraordinary in his adventures.
