On The Table Read Magazine, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, Palm Desert breezy indie pop duo Pen Pin released Fringe, capturing a moment in a relationship that is pure joy.
Pen Pin
Songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Jeni Magana and Emily Moore created DIY sun-soaked indie pop project Pen Pin. After meeting on tour with Mitski and started writing and recording their debut album whenever they weren’t on the road, and the result of their “pen pinspiration” has become a chill, vintage pop album that sounds and feels like lounging by a Palm Desert pool when the afternoon becomes the dusk.
Both are well known touring musicians with Emily Moore performing and touring alongside Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Fun and Gracie Abrams (opening up the Taylor Swift Era’s tour) and Jeni Magana performing alongside Mitski.
As well as playing almost all of the instruments on the album, they are self-producing their LP, Pony Up, which captured a moment of inspiration and a joyous collaboration between friends, with the spark of inspiration, holding onto happiness, and friendship.
Fringe
Pen Pin’s single “Fringe” details capturing a moment in a relationship that is pure joy and recalling that feeling when times get tough. The breezy track features golden-hued vocals, dreamy melodies and nostalgic piano, creating a warm and cathartic musical moment.
Designed to bring you company on your evening walks through the park, the Pony Up LP is set to be released Spring, 2024.
