On The Table Read, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, UK indie band Impossible Knots announce the release of ‘The Last Time’ – the first single from their debut album ‘Sub:Song’, due for release in October 2022.

Impossible Knots

Recorded at Vintage Keys Studio in Lockerley, Hampshire in partnership with sound engineer and musician Steve Christie (who has worked with likes of Elton John, Hans Zimmer and Mark Knopfler), ‘The Last Time’ is a bold, confident first track that blends the modern digital world of electronic beats and synths with the authentic analogue tones of original Fender Rhodes, Steinway, strings and clarinet.

Impossible Knots

Impossible Knots are Matt Anthony (vocals, guitar, piano), Andy Squires (bass, guitar, synths, backing vocals), Tom Green (keys, guitar) and James Crump (drums). Hailing from the UK’s south coast, the band fuse analogue with a modern sound to create music that is alternative, experimental, honest & direct.

The Last Time

The four members grew up in Portsmouth and have gained a loyal following across the south coast, particularly in Brighton after Melita Dennett and Pete Jones from the Radio Reverb Brighton show championed their early releases.

Key to the band’s approach is to be completely open towards collaboration with the process of writing, recording and producing music – working with as wide a range of musicians and influences as possible.

The Last Time

The single artwork for ‘The Last Time’ comes from the talented Mike Collier (in collaboration with Eyelevel Creative)
