Sinatra The Musical

It is New Year’s Eve, 1942, and a skinny 27-year-old Italian American singer is going to step onto the stage of New York’s Central Theater and give a performance that will change musical history. As Frank Sinatra’s career explodes, he struggles to balance the his life with Nancy, his wife, and the demands and temptations of being America’s most popular. But when he gets into an intense relationship with movie star Ava Gardner, his records stop selling, and the press starts to hate him.

Sinatra uses his unparalleled talent and unwavering determination to stage the greatest comeback in showbusiness history, motivated by his love for his family.

Joe DiPietro

Joe DiPietro said that growing up, there were two pictures hanging in his grandma’s kitchen, the Pope and Frank Sinatra. To sit down with Tina Sinatra, hear stories about her father that no one else knows, and then perform those stories on stage makes for a thrilling and unexpected musical.
