Marianna Peci

Born in Italy to Swiss-Italian and British-Italian parents, Marianna Peci has been immersed in the world of books and comics from a young age. Her childhood dream of becoming an actress led her to explore storytelling through writing, and she has been crafting tales throughout her life.

A House of Scarlet Souls, originally titled The Huntress, is just one of the many books she wrote during her formative years. After completing high school, she moved to the southern coast of England with her family and began working part-time at a clothing store to save for her studies.

Enrolling in a Theatre Studies Degree at Rose Bruford, Marianna’s passion for storytelling continued to grow. During her studies, she founded Artbiscus, a female-led company dedicated to providing a platform for creators to share their stories.

Count on Us, Marianna’s directorial debut, is the first short film produced by Artbiscus. This acclaimed film has already garnered awards, including Best 1st Time Director, and has been selected for various film festivals.
