The House Gospel Choir celebrates a decade of musical excellence with the release of their new single, You, from their new album, Love Is The Message, which embodies the choir’s core philosophy of joy, peace, and unity.

You is a powerful anthem filled with infectious harmonies and an empowering chorus that will leave you feeling inspired. The original track, written by House Gospel Choir founder Natalie Maddix, Kesi of Rudimental, and talented producer Melle Brown, is sure to be a hit.

We all need our inner ‘Hype person’ to lift us to keep going and ‘YOU’ was written to be that mantra to speak to all hearts.  This track uplifts the spirit to remind us ‘you got this’, no matter what.  Co-written by Lizzie Nightingale, Piers, Kesi of Rudimental, fromLondon and myself, this song was created to inspire and drive self-belief to the listener, Love Is the Message.

Love Is The Message

Love Is The Message is a sonic masterpiece that showcases the House Gospel Choir’s enduring legacy. This stunning album features a collection of 11 tracks, including three inspired covers: the iconic “Promised Land” with Joe Smooth, the soulful “Optimistic” with Beverley Knight, and the chart-topping “Dreamer” with Janice Robinson.

The remaining tracks are original house anthems that will leave you feeling uplifted and inspired. Four of these tracks were produced by the legendary Rudimental, creating instant classics like “GLOW,” “Shall Not Be Moved,” “No Better Friend,” and “FIRE.”

The album concludes with the rousing and anthemic title track, “A Vow (Love Is The Message),” and the emotive gospel ballad, “Glory!”

Love Is The Message is a testament to the House Gospel Choir’s unwavering commitment to spreading love, joy, and positivity through their powerful music.

In a world where chaos can reign supreme, there exists a force more powerful than any other – Love.  The new album is a testament to the enduring power of love and its transformative impact on lives, communities, and the world. I was inspired by scholar and activist Bell Hooks and her concept of love as a combination of care, commitment, knowledge, responsibility, respect, and trust. ‘Love Is the Message’ is a celebration of love in all its forms – from radical love for community to romantic, platonic, and self-love.  It explores the profound need for connection and liberation found in the human voice, the unifying sound of dance music, and the universal language of love.

House Gospel Choir, founded in 2014 by visionary Natalie Maddix, is a pioneering vocal ensemble that blends gospel and house music in a unique and powerful way. Initially a 12-strong group, the choir has grown into a diverse community of over 150 singers, ravers, and friends.

Since signing to Island Records in 2020, HGC has achieved meteoric success, releasing the critically acclaimed debut album RE//CHOIRED and collaborating with renowned artists like Nile Rodgers, Rudimental, and Ella Henderson.
