On The Table Read Magazine, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, Kaleidoscope Entertainment announced that the stage recording of the award-winning West End hit, Heathers: The Musical will be showing in cinemas all over the country for a one-night only special event.
The musical adaptation is based on the 1989 cult classic film starring Christian Slater and Winona Ryder. It follows Westerberg High student Veronica Sawyer as she is taken under the wing of the three beautiful but unimaginably cruel Heathers.
The live recording of Heathers: The Musical will be done in The Other Palace in London, where the stage show made its debut in the United Kingdom in 2018. This year, the production’s UK tour will also travel across the country in addition to the live recording and West End performances!
Fans of the musical are in for some Big Fun because the live recording, which was captured in its original London home, The Other Palace, features some incredible musical stars, including Ailsa Davidson as Veronica Sawyer, Simon Gordon as J.D., Maddison Firth as Heather Chandler, Vivian Panka as Heather Duke, and Teleri Hughes as Heather McNamara. However, when the mysterious new kid, a teen rebel named J.D., arrives in town, Heather realises it kills to be nobody, but being somebody is murder.
Mhairi Angus also appears in the recording as Martha Dunnstock, and Vicki Lee Taylor portrays Ms. Fleming, Veronica’s mother. Liam Doyle plays Kurt Kelly, Rory Phelan plays Ram Sweeney, Andy Brady plays Benjamin Karran, Chris Parkinson plays Eleanor Morrison-Halliday, Mary-Jean Caldwell plays Hannah Lowther, and May Tether plays May.
The musical, according to the creators, turns the late ’80s classic into a tuneful, darkly comic, and ultimately touching and hopeful stage musical. It is based on the 1988 cult hit film starring Christian Slater and Winona Ryder.

According to Andy Fickman, directing Heathers The Musical has been a career highlight for him. Therefore, it was an even greater high for them when they were given the opportunity to film Stage Capture at their beloved London theatre, The Other Palace, where it all began.
Now, with the help of their partners at Bill Kenwright Studios, Village Roadshow, and now Kaleidoscope, they are able to share that feeling of magic in cinemas all over the United Kingdom. He said he couldn’t stop smiling, and he hopes the audience does too!
Heathers: The Musical will be in UK Cinemas for one night only on 28th March
