While most of us have lived through minor power cuts that can range from a few hours to even a few days, historian William R. Forstchen, Ph.D., asks what would happen if the power went out and didn’t come back on?

In a warning about what would happen if something were to destroy the U.S. power grid, such as an electromagnetic pulse (EMP), Forstchen believes it would trigger a cascade of deadly events, and human survival would depend on being in the right place at the right time with access to the right food supply.
