This unique guide offers five distinct paths—Independent, Money, Passion, Experiment, and Balanced—along with practical exercises to assist readers in identifying their best fit.

Appling, a self-described “passionpreneur,” has built a diverse portfolio of eight businesses, including the Texas-based Sherwood Forest Faire. While he personally embodies the “Passion” path, he emphasizes that this approach may not be suitable for everyone.

The book aims to guide both young professionals and established workers seeking a more fulfilling career. Appling has been actively engaging with college students in the United States, encouraging them to proactively choose a career path before graduation.

George Appling’s journey to entrepreneurial success began with a traditional career path, culminating in a CEO position at a billion-dollar cellphone distribution company. However, at the age of 36, he felt a growing dissatisfaction and set a clear intention for change: a single word, “STOP,” marked in his Blackberry calendar for his 40th birthday.

This pivotal moment marked a departure from the corporate world and a leap into the unknown. George began pursuing his passions, starting with the Sherwood Forest Faire, a Texas-based Renaissance festival. His entrepreneurial ventures have since expanded to include a mead-making company, a medieval-themed summer camp for children, and a charity dedicated to providing equine therapy for veterans.
