Board of Trustees
The Mowlem Institute Charity is pleased to announce that Edgar Wright has agreed to serve as The Mowlem Theatre’s first patron. In their 2022 business plan, they stated that they wanted to hire a patron for The Mowlem Theatre, but they didn’t think it would happen so quickly. They didn’t expect to find a Patron who had a remarkable body of work and a genuine connection to Swanage and The Mowlem. Mr. Wright’s agreement to serve as our Patron is greatly appreciated.
They are eager to continue our efforts to make The Mowlem Theatre not only the cultural center of Swanage but also a destination for visitors from the surrounding area and beyond. They look forward to collaborating with him on this endeavor.
This announcement comes only a few short months after The Mowlem published The 2022 Business Plan in its entirety. It discusses the following topics: the Trust’s past, current situation, organizational change, governance, funding, and reimagining the Shore Road building.
