On The Table Read Magazine, “the best book magazine in the UK“, new book, The Island Of The Four Ps by Ed Hajim, is a modern day fable about planning for a future of happiness and success.

The Island Of The Four Ps

The seeds of powerful transformation and inspiration can be found in fiction. Parables can be found in Spencer Johnson’s Who Moved My Cheese and Dr. Seuss’ Oh, The Places You’ll Go, two of the most inspirational guidebooks. For decades, both have inspired graduates, business visionaries, and entrepreneurs. The Island of the Four Ps falls into this prized category: Ed Hajim’s modern fable about planning for the future.

Hajim is of the opinion that neither a GPS nor a search engine can provide you with the path to success. Instead, this captivating fable, beautifully illustrated by Gabriela Leal, transports you into the mind of a young man on the lookout for who he is and the path that will lead him to happiness and success.  We learn more about how to deal with change while remaining true to our ideals and values as he faces challenges.

The stories accessibility is what makes it appealing. Hajim doesn’t believe that there is one right way to deal with life changes, and even if you accept the ideas completely, there is no one right way to put them into action. We are able to find the direction that is uniquely right for us with The Island Of Four Ps.

Hajim drew inspiration for this book from his extraordinary life. Hajim spent his childhood in and out of foster homes and orphanages after being kidnapped by his father at the age of three, driven across the country, and told that his mother had died. The insight he shares with readers comes from the intelligence, resilience, and innate leadership he used to rise from poverty to personal and business success.

The Four Ps

The four Ps, which have guided Hajim throughout his life, are at the heart of the book. On each of these pillars, he shares his hard-earned wisdom.

  • Passions: Discover your interests and the things that inspire you. Keep an eye on your passions throughout your life because they are subject to change.
  • Principles: Decide which guidelines you will abide by and which ones you will not. They give your life structure and make it more manageable.
  • Partners: Nobody can succeed on their own. Recognizing that your requirements will change, think about the kinds of friends, collaborators, and advisors you’ll need around you.
  • Plans: Write down where you want to go and how you intend to get there after locating your plans. Try to find a wave or a cycle that you can combine with your values and passions by paying attention to your surroundings and the things that will happen to you over the course of your lifetime.
Ed Hajim

In the end, Hajim wants to assist anyone struggling to realize their dreams. He hopes that reading The Island of the Four Ps will make you think about who you are and what you want out of life. Ideally, it will motivate you to take action, assisting you in fully participating in life, pursuing new experiences, and navigating the waves of change.
