I interviewed yoga expert Gemma Nice about her podcast, Easyoga, what inspired her, and what she hopes to achieve through podcasting.
My name is Gemma Nice and I help professional women who are trapped in the unhappy unhealthy and unsatisfying work life cycle which is causing them to feel old before their time unloved by those closest to them and is though their life has no meaning though the power of yoga and wellbeing. I too suffered with my relationship after many years of trying and now we have overcome those factors and have been together for over 21 years. I have suffered trauma through a miscarriage but we got over that and made our relationship stronger.
I am a 38 year old with 2 children. I was born in Brighton and I love outdoor walks and being in nature and I love spending time together as a family. We have backpacked around the world for 7 months in 2006. That was the best trip ever. We as a family love to travel and the children get to see the amazing world. I am into healthy eating but also am partial to chocolate. I love reading romance novels and health magazines. I love my life and everything about it.
I started because I was so passionate about my passion being yoga and wellbeing that I wanted to start a podcast. My friends kept telling me that I would be good at it so I thought I’d give it a try and I love it. I love sharing how yoga makes you feel and how much wellbeing has helped me to get through difficult times in my past.
Its called Easyoga – All Things Yoga and I came up with the name because my company is called Easyoga and I love talking about all things yoga and wellbeing so thought that was a good name.
Its on the platforms – Apple, Spotify, Castbox, wherever you go to get your podcasts, its on there. Juts search Easyoga All Things Yoga and it will pop up.
Yoga, Wellbeing, Journaling, Nutrition, Meditation and Relationships.
Both, I have guests on to talking about the same kind of thing but then I also do solo episodes.
I edit it myself using a software program called Audacity.
I just chat as I go. I find it easier that way.
There are more people who listen now and I’ve had some great feedback from it.
To not go over the same stuff I have in previous episodes but I still can talk about a lot so its ok.
Sarah Louise Sutton – ExpandHer Podcast. She is great and such an inspiration.
I promote it on Instagram Stories, Pintrest, Linkedin, and my email list.
No I haven’t been paid through it. It’s kind of a hobby but goes with my business Easyoga.
That it would be hard to come up with new content each week but I’m getting there. I’ve learned that when I have guests on my show, I learn a lot form them even though they are in my area of expertise.
Just go for it and enjoy it. I love talking on mine. If you’ve got a passion, then just go with it and let it flow.
Is it worth the effort? Yes I love it and all that its become. Yes it really is worth the effort as I love sharing my knowledge with people.
