On The Table Read, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, acclaimed actress Amelia Wray, from the Disney series Sydney To The Max, has released a new single called Disappear about teenage heartbreak.

Disappear

Amelia Wray described her new single Disappear as being about “being more than friends — but less than lovers — with someone for over a year, and suddenly one day everything changes. It leaves you feeling lost and confused when they act like nothing ever happened between the two of you. So I wanted to write a song that everybody could relate to when they’re pretending or acting like you just disappeared into thin air, which doesn’t seem fair because you’re not able to do that yet…you can’t let go so easily.”

Co-written by Michael Orland (American Idol) and Bill Grainer (Jennifer Hudson, and produced by Miklos Malek (Jennifer Lopez, Anastacia), and with emotive soul-drenched vocals singing soaring melodies over delicate piano, “Disappear” is a standout song about teenage heartbreak.

When Amelia Wray was just six years old, she fell in love with performing. She is most well-known as an actress for her role as Sophia on the Disney Channel series, Sydney To The Max, and is one of the leads in the movie Enganglement. She is currently up for best young actress at the New York Independent Film Awards in 2022, and is now prepared to venture into the exciting world of music.

In November of 2021, Amelia released her first single, Moved On, which tells teens who are experiencing heartbreak that they are not alone. Amelia is writing and recording her upcoming EP, which she hasn’t named yet. She recently released Disappear, a soul-drenched pop ballad about unfulfilled love and disappointment.

Amelia doesn’t like to be pigeonholed, so she wants to try new musical and lyrical approaches in the hope of reaching a wider audience.
