On The Table Read, “the best book magazine in the UK“, People Power by William Halliday follows Steven joining a secret underground group determined to expose the corruption of Britain’s ruling class.
People Power
William Halliday’s debut novel tells of Steven, an average British lad who following the death of his neighbour, who died having to decide between heating or eating,  puts his money where his mouth is and joins a secret underground internet group hell-bent on exposing the cover ups and lies of government, the media, pharma corps and more.
Shooting from the hip, People Power is a compelling piece of fiction, fuelled by the author’s fervent belief that society is stacked against the working class.
In a contemporary tale that finds the author’s protagonist, Steven, joining an underground group determined to expose the corruption of the ruling classes, this novel skilfully conveys the current disenchantment felt by a growing number of the population, and keeps readers wondering where Steven’s urban guerrilla antics will take him next.
And whilst the author appreciates his subject matter and literary targets aren’t likely to make him friends in high places, this 21st century literary ‘Citizen Smith’ has got his career as an author off to a hugely impressive start.
Midnight Justice
From the UK to the USA, they made headlines across the world.
Steven Walker had a keen interest in politics, the media and society.
He witnessed his older neighbour Stanley die through poverty. He saw the poor getting poorer, all while the rich cashed in. He witnessed many political scandals and media cover-ups.
He had enough.Steven, with his life-long friend Donna, teamed up with Midnight Justice, one of the world’s most famous computer hackers. Their goal was to bring fairness, justice and equality for the people, by the people.
It was a David versus Goliath battle. Would they succeed?
William Halliday
William Halliday says: “I’m originally from Glasgow, and I have resided in Spain for the last eight years. I’m 48, and this is my first novel. Never in a million years did I think I would write a book, never mind have it available on Amazon.
“I have worked offshore as a radio operator for the last fifteen years. In my previous job, there was not much to do on the night shift, so I wrote a fictional novel. Due to Covid-19 and not being in the right frame of mind during the outbreak, along with having spent eleven weeks locked up in a flat alone, I suffered from writer’s block for a long time, so this book has taken me a total of three and a half years to complete.
“Part two is already a work in progress, as I hope to make this into a trilogy. I dream of one day, like many millions of other authors, having it on the big screen. I do spend too much time watching TV series and movies.”
