Since the day that I was born I was told I can’t do this I can’t do that. I had doctors who told my parents I wouldn’t be able to walk without braces or crutches. My parents have also been told that I wouldn’t be able to read higher than a second grade level.
I had to overcome 9 ear surgeries, bullying, being nearly overweight, living with spinal stenosis every day. Some how I overcame all of these odds that was not in my favor.
Fast forward to where I am now. I started CrazyFitnessGuy after my first semester in college. I was just finishing up my English class. My professor told the class if you want to become better writers you need to write every day. From that moment on I was thinking how can I do that.
I didn’t want to write in a word document every single day because that would become boring really fast. So, after a while I started think about creating a website. I read so many articles, watched many YouTube videos and I thought I was set.
I started on WordPress. One of the biggest mistakes I made because I am not a developer and I didn’t know how to get myself out of certain siutations. Eventually I moved over to Squarespace after being on WordPress for almost a year and working 90+ hours a week.
My website started off as just a way to continue to practice my writing skills. In college at that time I was majoring in personal training. I was thinking I was going to put exercise videos on the website while I continue to write.
My website was also known as a different name back then. Until I got my first trademark violation letter via email. I was such a small website that I didn’t think a huge website would find me. I didn’t know the trademark laws as I do now.
After I a few hours, I came up with the name CrazyFitnessGuy. Fast forward a little more, after a few more college semesters, I switched my major to media studies where I found my passion; Motivational Speaking.
I shifted gears on my website to write about motivational articles to help people start their a more healthier lifestyle. The reason I want to be a motivational speaker is because I want to share with the world that I had overcome so much adversity growing up. If I can go through all of the stuff I went through, then maybe others can start to think “maybe what I am going through will be a walk in the park.”
Writing on my website has helped me get my name out there. Google Jimmy Clare and CrazyFitnessGuy we both show up on the first page of Google. Reading peoples comments on my website saying how insightful, motivating, and encouraging my story was.
CrazyFitnessGuy has been up and running for 4 years and my podcast just celebrated its first birthday in 2021. I have been on 90+ podcasts and I have been featured in New York City Times Square. If I didn’t start CrazyFitnessGuy I don’t think I would have these opportunities.
Blogging has helped me to start my motivational career. Writing on my website has helped me be guests 90+ podcasts, New York City Times Square, Australia TV, and co-authored a book.
I outrank Richard Simmons Wikipedia page or CrazyFitnessGuy and I outrank Jimmy Clare who is a retired soccer player from the UK Wikipedia Page as well.
