Circle Of Innocents

In a classic tale of good versus evil, brimming with plot twists and turns, Circle Of Innocents by Stephen D. Curtis has dark menace on every page.

A devastating secret. A deadly intent. A group of unwitting strangers will have to stand as one to fight the ultimate evil…

Mother and daughter protagonists, Joanne and Samantha Middleton, live a very normal life in London. But that perfect life is all about to change. After a freak confrontation on Hampstead Heath with a tragic, deluded loner, Wayne Terry, supernatural forces and twisted chaos start to consume every waking moment of their lives.

Terry is an abused social misfit whose misery has caught the eye of a malevolent entity seeking to use the young man’s dark past and loathing for its own, bloody ends, and those ends involve Joanne’s only child, nineteen-year-old Samantha. A menacing cycle has begun. Forced to leave their Hampstead home following a series of terrifying supernatural events, Joanne and Samantha flee to their second home, an idyllic country retreat set in a secluded Hertfordshire village. But can a simple country cottage keep Samantha safe from a relentless nightmare, or will a seemingly random encounter with a well-meaning family hold the key to saving the most important thing in Joanne’s life?

With stand-out scene setting and delivering  fantastically well-formed baddies in the form of Wayne Terry and his brutal, otherworldly mentor, The Puppeteer, Circle of Innocents is garnering the type of praise most first-time novelists can only dream of.

Stephen D. Curtis

English author Stephen David Curtis lives in Cambridgeshire with his partner, Eva, and his vivid imagination!

Originally from Mountnessing in Essex, Stephen has spent most of his life living in Hertfordshire, the setting for his debut novel: Circle of Innocents.

It was at secondary school where Stephen first discovered creative writing in the form of poetry and short stories, although it would be during a musical career spanning some four decades where he would express that gift in greater depth, as a songwriter and lyricist.

A keen golfer, with a broad spectrum of other interests including surrealist art, nature, and bonsai artistry, Stephen is also a family man and very proud father. His daughter, Emily, is a singer, songwriter and lyricist, and his son, Ashley, an accomplished guitarist and graphic artist.

Stephen’s journey as a novelist has just begun, ideas for a new book are already in place, and more will undoubtedly follow…
