Chocolate-Coated Piranha
Mike Smallman’s Chocolate-Coated Piranha is a raw and honest exploration of a life marked by both extraordinary triumphs and devastating setbacks. From a tumultuous childhood to a successful entrepreneurial career, Smallman’s journey is one of resilience, determination, and an unwavering belief in justice.
The memoir delves into Smallman’s early life, characterized by adversity. He candidly recounts his experiences with chronic illness, bullying, and abuse, painting a vivid picture of his struggles. Despite these challenges, he developed a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a knack for risk-taking.
As an adult, Smallman achieved significant success in the business world, building a thriving enterprise. However, his life took an unexpected turn when he became involved in a government contract and was subsequently accused of fraud. Convicted and imprisoned, Smallman maintains his innocence and argues that he was a victim of a miscarriage of justice.
Chocolate-Coated Piranha is more than just a personal narrative. It is a scathing indictment of institutional corruption and a call for accountability. Smallman draws parallels between his own case and other high-profile scandals, such as the Post Office scandal, highlighting systemic failures and the abuse of power.
Beyond the legal battles and personal hardships, the book is a testament to the human spirit. Smallman’s unwavering optimism and his ability to find humor in the darkest of times are inspiring. He shares stories of camaraderie, resilience, and the importance of hope, even in the face of adversity.
Chocolate-Coated Piranha is a must-read for anyone interested in true crime, social justice, or the power of the human spirit. It is a poignant reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope for redemption and justice.
Mike Smallman
I have been fighting what happened to me and my business for 23 years and will never give up or give in. I carry the burden of my conviction on a day-to-day basis, and it causes me great problems and hardship.
However, I remain sanguine and positive in everything I do. I am also in the process of taking City & Guild to the High Court for lying to the News of The world in 2001 as this started the frenzy that lead to my conviction. My book isn’t just about my innocence, it is meant to be an inspirational book that shows everyone who picks up a copy that no matter how hard life is, you can continually pick yourself up and continue to challenge life’s provocateurs.
These days I’m an author with the intent to write many revealing stories whilst developing myself as an artist.
My book touches on many important issues. Issues that I now want too champion. There are millions of people that are or have gone through adversities in their life just like me. Some of mine are in the book and range from bullying to abuse. From success to failure. From illness to bereavement and so many other things. The reason i wrote the book was simple; I had to tell my story.
It’s simple, I have had the most amazing up and down life. I have gone to hell and back many times over the last 60 years and still go through so many problems they are too many to list in just one book. I’m still smiling and have so much hope for my future its overwhelming.
