Assigned a new and dangerous mission by her superior, Vegas, Scout and her crew must search out vital data needed for their futures survival, but she is completely aware of the horrors they are about to face. Scout worries for the safety of her crew, some of whom have never seen the world above ground before, and her new ally, Minister Kiernan. Together, they must face the dangers on the ground above, only rivalled by a leader who is working towards his own more insidious agenda.

Not quite a debut work, having published several books in the USA in her twenties, M J Walker immerses readers in the dangers, emotions, and day-to-day realities of living life underground and with very little hope of life returning to anywhere close to normal. And there is good news. M J Walker is already steaming ahead and working on a much-anticipated sequel.

I first had the idea for this book 20 years ago. However, I didn’t start writing until 2019 and finished the book during lockdown. The story didn’t start out with a sequel in mind, but a sequel is currently underway, as there is so much more to unfold.
