Sal, a young woman living in the 1960s who was unmarried and pregnant, is the protagonist of Mother’s Love. Using her ‘circumstance’ as an opportunity to to determine her own destiny, she makes the decision to leave the city in order to start a new life for herself and her baby. When she starts her new job at a doctor’s office in a small town, Sal finds that people aren’t as judgmental as she thought, and she forms new relationships that change her life forever.

Mother’s Love explores Sal’s unique relationships with each of her daughters, whose lives are intertwined by the fragile bonds of love and sisterhood. It also follows Sal through the highs and lows, tragedy and triumph, of life and motherhood.

This sixth novel from a writer who doesn’t want to fit into any one genre is eloquent, heartbreaking, and empowering. It’s an engaging read that women of all ages will love and understand.
