I interviewed author Martin Rothery about his work, his inspiration, and the creative process that went into writing his book, Sanomentology: The Theories.

Tell me a bit about who you are.

I am Martin Rothery, founder of the Sanomentology: Dream Architects program, Husband to an amazing wife, and father to 5 fantastic children. I have always been on the fringes of society, watching and learning from my observations of how people act, react, and live their lives. This helped me to overcome my own issues from a turbulent childhood, and to help others to do the same.

When did you first WANT to write a book?

I have considered writing for many years, firstly starting with my own life story, then moving onto the theories and programs behind my work. I had always found ways to procrastinate my way out of the commitment.

When did you take a step to start writing?

As I developed my program and starting the training and teaching of it, I realized just how many people were interested in what I had to say. This led me to put it all into a book format, with several versions, public and trainee copies.

How long did it take you to complete your first book from the first idea to release?

The first book was an accumulation of lots of smaller articles and ideas that were put together over a period of 7 years.

What made you want to write Sanomentology: The Theories?

I wanted to write the book to share my ideas and thoughts out to the world, with the hope that they would cause readers to stop, think, and take control of their own lives as a result.

What were your biggest challenges with writing Sanomentology: The Theories?

My biggest challenges were how to filter the ideas to prevent readers from using the processes harmfully without sufficient training.

What was your research process for Sanomentology: The Theories?

I have studied philosophy, psychology, theology, and science throughout my life, and much of the information and ideas were formed from seeing the crossovers between the disciplines. The idea of the truth being somewhere in the middle of everything was my inspiration to get it on paper.

How did you plan the structure of Sanomentology: The Theories?

Everything in the book was originally created as stand-alone sections for training purposes, therefore it was a simple process of ordering it to make the best sense.

Did you get support with editing, and how much editing did Sanomentology: The Theories need?

My wife and several of my colleagues were kind enough to proof read the content. The rest of the editing was all carried out by myself.

What is the first piece of writing advice you would give to anyone inspired to write a book?

Don’t procrastinate. I wish I had started much earlier. And remove any fear around the writing. Do it for yourself, not anyone else.

Can you give me a hint about any further books you’re planning to write?

I am currently working on the next level of the program, forming the basics behind Post Materialistic Psychology, which will take ideas to explain theories of heaven, hell, and much more complex elements of existence.

And, finally, are your proud of your accomplishment? Was it worth the effort?

Absolutely. The theories within the book have helped literally thousands of people to overcome many issues, from chronic pain, addictions, anxiety, PTSD, as well as helping them to strive forward to reach much higher potentials in life.
