On The Table Read, “The Best Book Reader Magazine in the UK“, author and medium Jacqueline Turner shares her experiences writing her new book with her spirit guide, Emanuel And Me.
Written by JJ Barnes
I interviewed spiritual medium and author Jacqueline Turner about the experience of writing with her spirit guide, Emanuel, and what inspired her to write her new book, Emanuel And Me.
Tell me a bit about who you are.
Hi I am Jacqueline Turner. I am a spiritual medium. I started out my career as a beauty therapist, which later led me onto the path of becoming a therapist and lightworker for Reiki, Crystal Healing and Angel Healing.
I developed my mediumship skills by attending regular mentorship sessions at my local spiritualist center. I have since gone on to learn to be a soul plan practitioner also, working with an ancient method of numerology to help you identify your soul purpose.Â
When did you first WANT to write a book?
It’s really interesting, as when I was at school, I really wanted to be a journalist. I always had a love of writing, so in some way, I feel that this was always a part of my life plan or soul destiny.
When did you take a step to start writing?
Way back in 2004, I attended a book signing event at my local bookstore with the author Trudy Griswold. She was hosting an informational talk on her book, Angel Speak. The book was about how to connect and write with your angels.Â
I followed on with the instructions in the book and found the art of Journaling with my guides was something that felt very natural to me. I have continued to Journal and write with my spirit guide ever since.
How long did it take you to complete your first book from the first idea to release?
I started officially writing the book within January 2021 and it was completed by September 2021. we had been working on the layout and cover design process from there, to be ready for the Launch date 17th March 2022
What made you want to write Emanuel And Me?Â
I heard a calling from my spirit guide asking me to write this book. Not only did I hear the words, but I felt them and I knew intuitively that this was something that I had to do.
What were your biggest challenges with writing Emanuel And Me?Â
My biggest challenge in writing the book was my own fear to be honest. My own fear of being seen in this way, to have been trusted by spirit to deliver such an important message.
What was your research process for Emanuel And Me?Â
Once I had channelled the information from Emanuel, I spent time researching the details received surrounding the location, dates, and moments in history to the best of ability.
How did you plan the structure of Emanuel And Me?Â
When you are channelling the words from spirit, I wouldn’t say there was an actual structure in place. I set aside time each week to work on the book, and I aimed to have completed one chapter a month.
Did you get support with editing, and how much editing did Emanuel And Me need?Â
Yes, I had help with the professional editing. We did not edit the channelled words from Emanuel, they are written as received.Â
The editing process was fairly simple, and we did not need to spend much time with this.
What is the first piece of writing advice you would give to anyone inspired to write a book?
Writing a book is a regular commitment. set aside a regular time to set out your intentions for the book and write, write, write.Â
Can you give me a hint about any further books you’re planning to write?
Yes, absolutely. A second book is planned with the help of Emanuel.
And, finally, are you proud of your accomplishment? Was it worth the effort?
I am so proud, and I feel very privileged to have been asked by my spirit guide Emanuel to work with him in this way.
This book is a gift from spirit, it has been a delight to receive the words to help you to go within your heart space and feel the connection to the greater being that is you.
Yes, absolutely, it has been worth every effort to deliver this book into the world. It is my hope that this book will bring faith, hope and clarity to all that are ready to receive it.Â
