I wanted to write a book decades ago!
I took the first step last year.
It took about a year, because I was writing two at the same time.
It took the same amount of time because I did them at the same time.
I have a super busy lifestyle with not much free time, so had to come up with a way to tackle my to-do list, get everything done and still have time to learn new things/get new certifications and fit in some much needed self-care time. I figured there may be others out there who would like to try this little hack I have been using. If anything, it could help possibly motivate and inspire them to at least try to take action to tackle their to-do lists.
The biggest challenge was stopping and fighting the urge to keep adding more and changing it.
My own lifestyle and to-do list.
I didn’t initially plan the structure and there was no order. I just wrote whatever came to me at the time, in bits and pieces. If I had more thoughts to add for a particular hack, I would go back and add it.
I did get help with editing. Since I did not write it from beginning to end, it needed to be organized. In addition to that, once I saw it organized, it made me want to add more ideas. I also added a Journal to go along with the book.
Just start. You don’t have to sit down and write the beginning and keep going until you write the end. Just write what comes to you. You can organize it later.
Yes, I am about to publish a book about something that seems like a good thing, but is just the opposite. Perhaps if I had read a book like mine, I would have become an author a long time ago.
Yes, I am proud of it. It was so worth it! I wish I had done it ages ago.
