Since the events detailed in Wilder Shores, Danny McFadden has forged a distinguished international career. After qualifying as a lawyer in both Australia and the UK, he has worked extensively as a dispute resolution expert for organizations such as the European Union, the Asian Development Bank, and the World Bank Group.

In 2009, he served as the Acting Director of Mediation at the United Nations in New York. Currently, he holds the position of Regional Mediator for Asia at the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund. Recognizing his significant contributions to the field of mediation in China, the Chinese Supreme Court appointed him as an Expert in Mediation in 2023.

When not immersed in his professional endeavors, Danny enjoys spending time with his granddaughters, gardening, and listening to music. He divides his time between Hong Kong, Australia, and Ireland.
