Mike Rogers

Roger and Mike met while DJing at the most well-known underground electro parties in the Netherlands, Rauw and Dum Dum, in the early 2000s. Mike and Roger played a mix of Electro, French House, Fidget, and Techno in this raw and lively scene. They both began to develop their own sound over the course of those years, which led to them playing in various scenes (Mike in the house scene, Roger in the techno scene). They communicated with one another and periodically shared production updates.

After some time passed, they both realized they had the same dream; to start a live band, Mike and Roger were inspired by the bands they saw growing up at Lowlands festivals like Mike Snow, Foals, Editors, Van She, Goose, and others. Since Mike and Roger were both producers, it took a few releases before they realized they needed a singer to make their own unique sound.

Mike Rogers

They found one in Kita Menari frontman Micha, who also happened to be looking for something new. with Kitsune releases and live scene experience. Micha was well on her way to becoming a big name in the indie community. But when the three of them started making music, their creativity got better.

New Music

Digital and analog, modern and retro are combined on their debut album, as their years of experience in music writing and production with their exploration of the sources of their inspiration as music fans.

The majority of band members communicate brief concepts to one another during the writing process, which another band member then develops. The concepts are passed around or forgotten about until there is an album. They agreed that it felt natural to be bold and make big musical gestures without sensationalism during this process.

This approach is reflected not only in the music but also in the record’s message. Why must people always choose between white and black? There is no need to pick between two extremes. You can still Live Loud despite your modest opinions!

Mike Rogers is going to share this with you. Get out there and enjoy the present moment. You don’t have to always pick a side. This is everywhere in the music. In order to strike a perfect middle ground or leave the listener with an ambiguous impression, all styles from opposing sides are combined.
