On The Table Read, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, AlienBlaze has released a live version of her popular gothic single, Romantically Dead.

Romantically Dead

AlienBlaze has unveiled the new live version of her most popular single to date, Romantically Dead, via Sumerian Records. The track bursts with attitude and an underlying ominous atmosphere.

“It has a gothic vibe and I was thinking of it in filmic terms, if it was a soundtrack of a movie,” explained AlienBlaze.

The song is full of attitude and features reverberating basslines, raucous guitars, and crashing percussion. It has an almost otherworldly, ominous feel to it and provides an energetic backdrop for AlienBlaze’s echoed vocals, which light up the entire track.

AlienBlaze is a 20-year-old lead guitarist and singer/songwriter who creates genre-fluid songs that are a fascinating combination of dark alternative pop, grunge, emo, rock, and electronic elements. Her dominating presence inspires a sense of self-empowerment in her young audience with its angsty appeal.

Due to illness, AlienBlaze spent the majority of her school years at home, where she spent countless hours learning the electric guitar on her mother’s old instrument. She aspired to play like Alice In Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell and Slash. Blaze’s sense of alienation from her peers is what prompted her to incorporate the word “alien” into her artist name.

AlienBlaze has developed a vision that embodies the spirit of the music that has inspired her while simultaneously developing her own completely distinct sound, drawing inspiration from bands like The Cure, Alice in Chains, and Bring Me The Horizon as well as artists like Billie Eilish and Ashnikko.

AlienBlaze conveys her message in a way that makes it accessible to people from all walks of life, from the mundane experiences of a young adult to more poetic themes like pathetic fallacy and imagery from nature.

“I consider my music to be slightly ‘genre-fluid’ because I take inspiration from many different sources,” explained AlienBlaze. “I like my lyrics to be poetic and different, and hopefully everyone can relate to the sentiment in the songs.”

Since she only uploaded her first song to Spotify in 2019, she has received hundreds of thousands of plays and has attracted the attention of numerous editorial playlists on Spotify. She has also received praise from publications like Wonderland Magazine, NOTION, and Kerrang!, in addition to Oli Sykes (Bring Me The Horizon), Rou Reynolds (Enter Shikari), Grimes, and Ellie Roswell (Wolf Alice).
